The 2021 Independent Reserve’s Cryptocurrency Index (IRCI) survey of over 2,000 people reveals that the percentage of Australians who own or have owned crypto has reached a milestone of 28.8%, indicating an increase of 18.4% in 2020. The results show that growth in the sector is due to the positive experience of those who own crypto, where 89% maintain they have made money or broken even, up from 78% in 2020.
